Oru Naal Varum movie is the tale of an ordinary man Kolappulli Sukumaran(Mohanlal) who attempts to construct his dream house, but is tore down by corruption in the society. Sreenivasan has an equal important role as a corrupted Assistant Town Planning Officer Gopi Krishnan. The first part of the movie contains a conflict between Mohanlal and Sreenivasan. As the movie progress Mohanlal realizes that Sreenivasan is the town planning officer. Inpsite of the bribes offered; Sreenivasan does not provide the necessary approvals to Mohanlal for construction of his house due to their earlier conflicts. The movie continues with the competition between Mohanlal and Sreenivasan

After a long gap Mohanlal and Sreenivasan are once again coming together for the new movie ‘Oru Naal Varum’. Directed by T K Rajeev Kumar, the shoot for the movie is already on at the capital city. Mohanlal and Sreenivasan have always made one of the greatest pairs in Malayalam cinema. Whenever they have been pitted against each other on screen, with Sreenivasan writing the dialogues, the films have all turned out to be blockbusters.  Mohanlal plays a character named Kulapuly Sukumaran in this movie scripted by Sreenivasan. It is after a gap of five years that Mohanlal is appearing in a Sreenivasan script, the last being ‘Udhayannau Thaaram’.Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy will debut in Malayalam with this movie which also features Devayani, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi venu in other important roles.Movie is produced by Maniyanpilla Raju under the banner Maniyanpilla Raju Productions and distributed by Damor Release
